General Information

Dissolution Technologies welcomes submissions pertaining to dissolution testing. All articles must be submitted to the Research Editor first in order to be considered for publication. The article will then be peer-reviewed by at least two experts in the field. The process may take as long as 2 months. After acceptance the article will be reviewed by the Assistant and/or Copy editors. The primary author will receive a pdf file of the article for review before the issue is printed.

Authors are encouraged to review their articles before submission, to verify accuracy, correct typographical errors and to clarify acronyms or abbreviations. The author, not Dissolution Technologies, is responsible for any statements made in the article.

All rejected manuscripts will be returned to submitting authors, and while every effort will be made to package the materials suitably for shipping, Dissolution Technologies cannot be held responsible for for any damage that occurs during shipping.

Electronic File Submission Guidelines:

Files can be prepared in Microsoft Word/Office or WordPerfect programs, either on Mac or PC platform. Save the documents as document files. Please label diskettes with file name, word processing program and version number. If illustrations are included, please include a laser proof, with figure number or other key code that indicates placement within the text.

TEXT

There is no need to double space between paragraphs, but text already formatted this way will be accepted.

Illustrations and/or photographic images, should be SEPARATE MACINTOSH TIFF, EPS, or jpeg format (platform independent). Please do not send images imbedded in Word files. They cannot be extracted.

Copyright

A manuscript, if accepted for publication , becomes the property of Dissolution Technologies. Written permission must be obtained from Dissolution Technologies to reprint an article elsewhere. If the article has been published previously, in another publication, it is the responsibility of the author to obtain written permission to republish.

Illustrations/Tables/Photos

Please reference illustrations and tables in the text: ie Figure 1, Figure 2, or Table 1, etc. Mark each illustration or table accordingly. Illustrations and tables must submitted each on a separate page, apart from the text.

Digital specifications, Photos must be TIF, EPS, or JPG (over 300DPI preferable) . FTP transfers are possible, contact the Research Editor for details.

It is the responsibility of the author to ensure that all rights for reproduction of photos has been obtained from the photographer.

References

References should be grouped together and arranged according to their order of mention in the manuscript. Detailed information on format and content may be found in the ACS Style Guide1. A reference should include the following minimum information:
